Mission Focus Areas
At Surmount New York, our work is grounded in three simple but powerful focus areas aligned to our mission: Awareness, Access, and Advancement.
We identify the barriers faced by individuals, bringing these challenges to light, and vocalizing their concerns and needs. By doing so, we not only highlight the problems but also develop practical solutions and community support.
We implement strategic solutions to address the voiced concerns. This involves partnering with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other groups to create a comprehensive support network and resource share.
We offer opportunities that individuals might not otherwise have, such as traveling and professional development workshops, to help them achieve self-sufficiency and broader life experiences.
